In short: The Farmers Co-op is the engine of Yield Fields. It collects Co-op Dues from every harvest and feeds them back into the farm and its rewards. More farmers and more harvests grow the Farmers Co-op, deeds earn more, and the whole economy compounds. More volume, more rewards.
note
Everything in Yield Fields is subject to change, including these numbers and mechanics. We'll give players ample notice before any change.
note
These flywheels switch on when farming launches.
The main flywheel
1The Farmers Co-op fills. It's seeded with ████ on day 1, and every harvest sold pays Co-op Dues into it.
2Speculation follows. A busy, growing farm draws attention, new players and trading in the 1 official pool.
3Every trade pays fees. Each $YIELD buy and sell pays tax, split between the Farmers Co-op and the deeds' Root Cellars, with a small team cut. The extra from heavy selling all goes to the Farmers Co-op.
4Fees fund rewards. Rewards pull in more players and more volume, and the Farmers Co-op has more to feed back into the fields. Back to step 1.
The volume problem
The main flywheel turns volume into rewards. The hard part is getting the volume in the first place: most onchain games and protocols never figured out how to incentivize it.
Yield Fields is built to tackle exactly that. Our answer is ████████████ (classified), and it's revealed at launch.
In plain terms
More farmers and more harvests grow the Farmers Co-op, and the buzz follows
Trading volume, including speculative volume, is what funds rewards
Deeds make Fertilizer, and farmers use it to grow faster
Every crop sale pays Co-op Dues into the Farmers Co-op
Fees fill the deeds' Root Cellars, and every burn leaves fewer deeds to share them
Supporting flywheels
Three more flywheels feed the main one.
1. The land feeds the fields
1Stake a Founding Deed and build a Fert Deck. It costs 0.01 ETH at launch.
2It makes Fertilizer around the clock. Higher Fertility makes more, and claimed Fertilizer never expires.
3Farmers use it for faster harvests. Deed holders use it themselves, or export it and sell it to farmers.
4Faster harvests mean more planting and more sales.
More volume, more rewards: every extra sale pays more Co-op Dues into the Farmers Co-op.
2. The fields feed the Farmers Co-op
1Farmers buy seed packs at the Cornhub with ETH, plant them and harvest.
2Every sale pays Co-op Dues, to the Farmer for $YIELD or to the Broker for ETH.
3The Farmers Co-op grows with every sale, and feeds it back into the farm and its rewards.
More volume, more rewards: every crop sale gives the Farmers Co-op more to feed back into the fields.
Burning is permanent. The deed is gone for good, and there is no undo.
Something else in the soil
Word is, it's truffles. Every truffle ███ ████, and the details stay sealed until farming opens. See Classified.
Why it holds together
Busy days fund quiet ones. What the Farmers Co-op collects on a busy day keeps working for the fields long after
Heavy selling feeds the Farmers Co-op. The extra sell tax lands there exactly when selling spikes
Fees stay in the game. Royalties go to the project treasury, not the team. The launch tax goes to a wallet set by the team, with 100% used for in-game initiatives
More markets later. Crops, seeds and packs can go on OpenSea later, not at launch
warning
None of these flywheels guarantees a price, a return or any amount of rewards. They show how fees move through the game.
