About Yield Fields

In short: Yield Fields is an onchain farming protocol on Robinhood Chain. Stage One opens the land: Founding Deed holders stake their deeds, build a Fert Deck and make the Fertilizer every farmer will want. Farming and $YIELD come next, and their fees flow back into the game.

note
Everything in Yield Fields is subject to change, including these numbers and mechanics. We'll give players ample notice before any change.
note
Everything about deeds and Fertilizer goes live when staking opens, including Fertilizer export. Details for farming and $YIELD are published before each goes live.
“Scouts camped in an unexplored land. By morning, the seeds from their last meal had sprouted into crops. They called it the Yield Fields.”

Dewey, the game's guide, arrives with the full game to show new Yielders around.

Two ways to play

Yield Fields has 2 sides that feed each other. Farmers grow crops, and deed holders own the land that makes them grow faster.

Farm the fields

For everyone. Opens after Stage One. No deed needed.

Buy a seed pack at the Cornhub with ETH.
Plant it in your free farm plot.
Harvest once it's ripe. Fertilizer gets you there faster.
Sell to the Farmer for $YIELD, or to the Broker for ETH.

Own the land

For Founding Deed holders. Live in Stage One. Don't have one? Get a deed on OpenSea.

Stake your deed. It's free apart from gas.
Build a Fert Deck. 0.01 ETH at launch.
Make Fertilizer around the clock. Higher Fertility makes more.
Use it or trade it. Claim it to your Bag, or export it and sell it to farmers.

How they connect

Farmers want Fertilizer, and only deeds make it. Every crop sale pays into the Farmers Co-op, and every $YIELD trade also fills the deeds' Root Cellars, so the busier the fields, the stronger the land.

Built to last

The land comes first. Deed holders stockpile Fertilizer before farming opens, so supply is ready on day 1.
Fees stay in the game. Build fees stay in the deed staking contract for deed holders. Sale fees and most of the regular trading taxes go to the Farmers Co-op and the Root Cellars.
0% team allocation. All $YIELD goes to the game, and no more can ever be minted.
Heavy selling feeds the Farmers Co-op. The sell tax rises during heavy selling, and the extra goes straight to it.
Deeds get stronger. Root Cellars fill from fees, and every burned deed means future fees are shared among fewer deeds.
Provably fair. Pack results come from public randomness anyone can check.

Good to know

Farming isn't a guaranteed profit. Every seed is random. Read Fees and risks before you play.
You don't need $YIELD to play. You pay for everything in ETH.
Deed holders are first in line. Deed rewards, ██████████ and the Silo are lined up for staked deeds. Additional rewards for deed owners will be launched when the farming game launches.
