The Silo and the Windfall
In short: The Silo is a pot of $YIELD that only deed holders fill and only deed holders can win. Burn a staked deed and you take a share of it, called the Windfall. Higher Fertility takes a bigger share.
note
Everything in Yield Fields is subject to change, including these numbers and mechanics. We'll give players ample notice before any change.
In plain terms
Deed holders pay a small fee when they claim deed rewards, and part of that fee goes into the Silo
Burning a staked deed wins a share of the Silo, plus that deed's The Root Cellar
The Silo never empties, so it keeps growing for the next burn
The Silo
Only deed holders fill it. Every deed reward claim pays a claim fee. Part goes back to all staked deeds, and part goes into the Silo
Only deed holders win it, by burning a staked deed
It refills. A Windfall never empties the Silo, and what's left grows again with every claim
The Windfall

Burn a staked deed and you win the Windfall, a share of the Silo set by its Fertility. The same burn empties its Root Cellar in ETH.
Common: ███%

It's a share of the Silo's balance at that moment, and the Silo refills between burns.
How to burn
Pick a staked deed and choose Burn Deed. The app shows your Root Cellar and Windfall first.
Hold to Burn, then confirm in your wallet. You can burn several deeds in one go. They're processed 1 at a time, and each takes its share of what the last one left.
Your Windfall arrives in $YIELD and your Root Cellar in ETH, straight to your wallet.
Burning destroys the deed's structure, moves any stored Fertilizer to your Bag and claims its pending rewards first. Every burn has a minimum payout, so it fails instead of paying less than you saw.
stop
Burning is permanent. The deed is gone for good, and there is no undo.
Next, Seeds and crops.
